Deleted Scene — Favor

“I will fight you,” Persephone threatened.

He smiled. “Darling, there’s nothing I’d love more, but I’m afraid I don’t have time. I’ve come  to extend an invitation.”

His lithe fingers disappeared inside the suit of his jacket, and he withdrew a thick envelope.  Persephone eyed it, both curious and suspicious.

“What is this? The 1800s?”

A harsh smile broke across Hades’ face, and he laughed. “Call me old-fashioned.” “Well, you are ancient.”

“Take it,” he said, extending his hand to her.

Hesitantly, Persephone reached for the envelope when Hades’ hand clamped down on her wrist.  He drew her close, snaking his other hand into her hair, he pressed his lips to her forehead. Heat  flooded Persephone’s body and she felt dizzy as he released her. She swayed and fell into him  again.

“What,” she said, bracing herself against his chest and shoving away. “Did you do to me?”

“That was the invitation,” he said. He waved the envelope in her face. “These are the directions.  Still think I’m old fashioned?”

He dropped the envelope at her feet and walked away.
